About Cape May Lighthouse
Built in 1859, Cape May Lighthouse is a state and national historic landmark located in Cape May Point State Park. Visitors can climb 199 steps up the original cast-iron spiral staircase to a watch gallery with sweeping views of the Delaware Bay, Atlantic Ocean, and surrounding nature trails. The fully restored Oil House features a visitors' orientation center and museum shop, and the site is operated by Cape May MAC.
