Hutchinson House is a Reconstruction-era home on Edisto Island, constructed around 1885 and set on 9 protected acres. Owned by the Edisto Island Open Land Trust, it is being stabilized and restored with plans to open it to the public for community programs and events. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it preserves the history of the Hutchinson family and African American life on the island.
