About Lubbock Lake National Historic Landmark

Lubbock Lake National Historic Landmark is an archaeological and natural history preserve located at the northern edge of Lubbock, Texas. As a heritage satellite facility of the Museum at Texas Tech University, it offers visitors the opportunity to explore 12,000 years of human and natural history through ongoing research, conservation, and public programs. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and welcomes visitors year-round.
