About Museum at Buccleuch Mansion
Buccleuch Mansion is an 18th-century, two-and-a-half story Georgian house and one of New Brunswick’s oldest historic landmarks, featuring a grand entry hall and 16 rooms. Its interiors include colorful hand-painted DuFour of Macon wallpaper and a remarkable collection of American decorative arts, furnishings, and textiles, reflecting Federal, Italianate, and Greek Revival influences. Deeded to the City of New Brunswick in 1911 along with 79 acres of parkland, it is maintained in partnership with the Jersey Blue Chapter NSDAR.
