The Oceanarium and Education Center on Mount Desert Island invites visitors of all ages to explore Maine’s coastal habitat and marine life through hands-on exhibits. Highlights include an authentic 29-foot indoor lobster boat, nine tanks featuring Gulf of Maine habitats, a 650-gallon touch pool, marsh trails, and a marine museum showcasing a juvenile humpback whale skeleton. The nonprofit center operates seasonally from May to November near Acadia National Park.
