About Swansea Castle
Swansea Castle is a historic ruin in the heart of Swansea city centre. While a castle stood here from at least the early 12th century, the surviving remains date to the late 13th and early 14th centuries, including a distinctive arcaded parapet on the south block. The monument can be viewed externally during reasonable daylight hours, with upper levels closed to the public.
