About World War II Lookout Tower
Built in 1942, the World War II Lookout Tower is the last freestanding WWII observation tower in New Jersey and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors can climb to the sixth-floor spotting gallery, explore changing exhibits, and view the Wall of Honor that pays tribute to local residents who served. An accessible boardwalk leads to the site adjacent to Sunset Beach, with an eternal flame memorial and a small shop on the lower floor.
