About Fort D. A. Russell (Art Museum)
Set on the 340-acre grounds of the former Fort D. A. Russell just south of Marfa, this contemporary art museum founded by Donald Judd showcases permanent, large-scale works intertwined with the surrounding landscape. Reimagined artillery sheds with long window walls and vaulted roofs flood expansive galleries with natural light, including Judd’s celebrated series of 100 aluminum works.
